Carhartt Earlham Street

Everypeoples Guide Carhartt Earlham Street

Founded in Detroit, Michigan way back in 1889 Carhartt is one of the oldest manufacturers of durable, workwear in the world. Started as a travelling tailoring service providing functional and hard-wearing garments to railroad workers, Carhartt have since grown to encompass an extensive wholesale network across North America and a strong brand following amongst young people and the older generations alike.

Holding true to their original values of quality manufacturing and honest practice, Carhartt have carved out a niche with the use of earthy colour tones and signature duck canvas defining the brand’s aesthetic.

In 1994 Carhartt launched ‘Work In Progress’ to distribute a selection of classic products from the original workwear range to emerging markets across Europe and beyond. The American heritage style was welcomed into youth culture just as old-school, US sportswear brands like Champion and New Era had been previously. The success of Carhartt ‘Work In Progress’ led to an official design line being created in 1997, offering re-interpreted workwear for the demands of the urban environment.

You can now find over sixty Carhartt WIP stores spread across 16 major cities in Europe and Asia, three of which are located here in London. One of which can be found at 15-17 Earlham Street in London's Seven Dials area. Here you'll find a wide variety of men's and women's apparel from mainline collections and Carhartt Heritage, accessories for everything you have and every Carhartt collaboration that is released.
